How a job runs

No surprises, from first call to final test.

  1. Step 1: Call or send a request

Tell us what is happening. We ask a few questions and, for small jobs, can often give a price range on the phone.

  2. Step 2: Site visit

For larger work we visit, test what is there and measure up. Surveys for projects are free.

  3. Step 3: Written quote

A clear scope, fixed price and schedule, with permits and inspection fees listed separately.

  4. Step 4: Work, test, hand over

We finish, test every circuit we touched, tidy up and walk you through what was done.

What you can expect on every job

  • Work to code. Installations follow the local electrical code, with permits pulled where required.
  • Tested before handover. Every circuit we touch is tested and labelled.
  • Agreed changes only. If we find something unexpected, we stop and talk to you first.
  • Tidy sites. Floors protected, dust controlled, old parts taken away.

EV chargers & modern loads

Ready for an EV, a heat pump or both?

Before recommending a charger or a panel upgrade, we run a load calculation on your actual home. Often the answer is a smart charger and no upgrade at all; when an upgrade is needed, we handle the permit and the utility.

  • Load calculation before any recommendation
  • Hardwired Level 2 chargers, indoor or outdoor
  • Panel and service upgrades when they are genuinely needed

Customer feedback

What customers say

Demo testimonials: fictional, replace with genuine reviews

They explained exactly why the old panel had to go and what the options were. The work was finished in a day, and every breaker is now labelled properly.

Laura M.Panel upgrade, Cedar Heights

Four early mornings and we never had to close. The shop looks completely different and I can finally dim the display lights separately.

Owen K.Shop lighting, Old Harbor

We were dreading a rewire with two kids at home. They worked room by room and the house was usable every evening.

Questions

Common questions

Quick answers about booking, permits, emergencies and EV chargers.

All FAQs

How quickly can you come out?

For non-urgent work we can usually visit within a few working days. Urgent problems during our emergency hours are prioritised; we give you an arrival estimate on the phone.

Do you give written quotes?

Yes. Anything beyond a small repair is quoted in writing with a clear scope, price and timeline before work starts. Quotes are valid for 30 days.

Do you pull permits?

Where the work requires a permit, we apply for it, schedule the inspection and include the fee in the quote. You receive a copy of the final sign-off.

When is your emergency line open?

Every day, 6:00 – 22:00. Calls outside these hours go to voicemail and are returned from 6:00. If there is fire, smoke or an immediate danger to life, contact your local emergency services first.

Will I need a panel upgrade for an EV charger?

Not always. We do a load calculation first. Many homes have enough capacity, and smart chargers with load management can avoid an upgrade altogether.
