1960s ranch home: panel replacement and 200A service
An original 100A panel with no free spaces was replaced with a 200A service, leaving room for an EV charger and a future heat pump.

Panel replacements and service upgrades for homes adding EV chargers, heat pumps or new circuits.
Your electrical panel is where every circuit in the building starts. Older panels can be undersized for modern loads, full with no room for new circuits, or simply worn out. We assess what you have, calculate what you need and handle the upgrade from permit to final inspection.
Typically $1,800–$4,500 depending on amperage and utility work; quoted after a site visit.
Demo figures. Every job is confirmed in a written quote.
For a straightforward panel swap, most homes are without power for six to eight hours on the day. Service upgrades that need the utility to reconnect can take longer; we confirm the schedule with you in advance.
Not always. A load calculation tells us whether your existing service can support what you are adding. Sometimes load management or a sub-panel is the better value option, and we will tell you when it is.
